The videos were written by producer Ian McCue, who wrote the Comedy Showtime shorts, writer Davey Moore, who wrote the Thomas Around the World shorts. Thomas' YouTube World Tour was a series of short web videos that were released every Wednesday in 20 on YouTube, from 25 February 2015 to March 2nd, 2016 for the US (every Tuesday in the UK, from June 30th, 2015 to June 21st, 2016).
Ben loved to keep busy, so after his retirement he worked the next 20 years for his son’s business Medican Construction in the wood shop. In his last years with the railroad, Ben worked as a conductor on the passenger train and was so proud to take his grandchildren along for train rides to Field, B.C. He remained there for almost 40 years until his retirement in 1986. Ben met the love of his life Esther Croissant in Medicine Hat and they married on October 26th 1946, the same year he started working for Canadian Pacific Railway.
Ben enjoyed and appreciated the tender love and care he received from the home care team, and would always send them home with a chocolate and say, “Take One for each Cheek”.Our family will cherish forever how genuine, positive and upbeat Dad always was with a perfect dash of humour mixed in, we think that is what drew so many people towards him. Thank you also to all the homecare nurses and care aides who made it possible for Ben to live independently at home in his final years. In the last five years of his life he also supported the Oasis Centre feeding program (The Mustard Seed) where he loved to spend time and talk with anyone who needed support or comfort.The family would like to stay a special thank you to all the residents of South Country Villa where Ben and Esther enjoyed the company of so many wonderful friends, who would often check in with fresh muffins in hand. ‘Gentle Ben’ was not one to judge others and had a heart for those who were down and out. Ben had the biggest heart, and along with his wife Esther spent years ministering at both the Lethbridge and Medicine Hat Remand Centres. Ben was also heavily involved in the early planning and development of both Eagles Nest Ranch and Pinecrest Baptist Bible Camp where he served on both boards for many years.
Due to the restrictions brought forward by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, indoor public gatherings are to be kept to 50 people. With Pastor Mark Borrows officiating. Brett’s firm handshake was his trademark and he was great at building friendships with anyone who was lucky enough to cross his path.Early in his career, Brett traveled extensively throughout the prairies working in the oil and gas industry. While Brett enjoyed watching hockey and football, he was an avid NASCAR fan and you could find him in front of the TV any given Sunday. Always a cheerleader, Brett loved attending sporting events featuring Tiahna, Josh, Logan and Evie. Brett was always up for backyard beers, with the promise of a good meal and entertaining stories that would be filled with his infectious giggle. As a family, they enjoyed camping, traveling to the mountains and spending time at the cabin at Elkwater. He was predeceased by his mother, Linda (Sherwood) Hope.Brett and Joanne Burns made a life together with their children Tiahna and Josh, in Redcliff, Alberta.

This is where he developed a strong love for the land and formed a spiritual tie to this ranch that was never broken.

Dave joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1963 and served in the Canadian Artillery at various Bases with most of his service in Germany until he was released in 1985. During his teen years he worked at various locations in the Hat. After WWII, the family moved from Regina to Medicine Hat and Dave took all his schooling and completed his education in the City. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, a private family Funeral Service will be celebrated at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. He will be sadly missed by all. Dave enjoyed sports, fishing, camping, history, telling stories and always a good visit with a cup of joe. He sang in Musical Theatre and other musical venues. Dave had a good voice and loved to sing and enjoyed good music. Dave was predeceased by his wife, Patricia daughter, Crystal parents, Almer and Lois sister-in-law, Robyn and niece, Kristen.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elinor, his daughters Heather Fetter (Court) of Phoenix AZ, and Cheryle Battrum of Red Deer AB, and his brother Donald (Cheryl) of Calgary AB.
